NWA, LTD PERUVIAN HANNAH is a cross between the genetics of SNOWMASTER, DON JULIO, and HEMINGWAY. Hannah's exquisite first fleece had an AFD of 13.2-Yocum-MoColl's tested it twice because, they emailed, "We don't see many alpaca fleeces this fine." Her 2006 Histogram is as follows: AFD 21.9 SD 3.9 Cv 17.8 %over 30 3.3 which is virtually unchanged from last year. These are the fiber genetics we are all breeding for! Her bright, incredibly soft white fleece has 8 tiny crimps per inch and it's character has held though many shearings. She has the most beautiful head. Her temperment is gentle and curious. Hannah first cria was a healthy beautiful female cria(9/24/06)who weighed in at 15lbs. Her name is ZION'S PERUVIAN HOLLY(Sold!) and she already has incredibly bright crimpy popcorn style fleece with a hand as soft as silk and the Zion head. Hannah took to motherhood right away and was very attentive to her first cria as you can see in the picture. Hannah gave us Holly's full brother Hawthorne. He has a totally different fleece style with fine frequent crimp. His 2 year old histogram is 17.2, 3.4, 19.7 and 0.9!W Hannah has a small fawn spot on her shoulder so we weren't surprised when Hannah gave us a true black cria with no white fibers. Whatever the color Hannah makes beautiful babies and has been a wonderful production female for us. Interestingly Hannah, her dam and her daughter have thrown very fine, dense Silky-fleeced alpacas in the past. This is one female that we thought we would never put on our sales list but we need to bring in some new genetics to our herd-we own her dam-so here she is! 2011-It's a Girl! Another superfine daughter of our Full Accoyo fawn Avenger son, Accoyo Royal Treasure she features Hemingway, Royal Fawn, and Snowmaster in her genetic lineup.

Hanalei's fleece has developed with a tiny tight crimp with brightness and fineness like both her parents. Since dam Hannah has fawn in her background and and has thrown a true black cria, Hanalei should throw color with the right breeding.We recently sold her first fleece which was a Grade 1 and she is maintaining her fineness and character.
Hanalei is mild mannered which has been a highly heritable trait on her family tree. Her dam Hannah was the smartest and most pleasant female on our farm even when pregnant, learning to turn on barn lights, carry objects around, and even weigh herself. Hanalei and maternal sister Satin Bells, who will be retained from this line, have both inherited this disposition. We will also be keeping several of her paternal sisters, Snow Angel and Charisma.

There is a reason that at least 4 of the herdsires from Accoyo America East are sons of Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus. Hanalei's mild line breeding to our Nautilus son Renaissance produced a stunning white female Lilikoi on 8/20/14, the best female cria born on our farm this year. I would estimate Lilikoi's AFD will be in the 13-14 range with little medulation and her brightness is like a lightbulb. Lilikoi and our Matrix son were the BEST cria we produced on the farm in 2014. Hanalei will be rebred to Renaissance for the new buyer based on the quality of this cria, or any solely owned Heritage Alpacas herdsire.

Hanalei had a mite issue and has some scarring on her rump near the tail from this. She is mite free now, and this has no bearing on her reproductive ability. Her dam and granddam have produced some of the cornerstone females on our farm. Auction sales are cash sales.

UPDATE Hanalei's Renaissance daughter Lilikoi takes 4th place (because of her small size) at 2015 CABA halter under judge Wade Gease. Finest most uniform fleece in this very large white class!
