Granddam is black and Royal Bronze and Snowmass Nova are in her background so we weren't surprised to get a black of this quality out of this breeding. Very bright fleece with no white fibers and long staple length from her dam who is in the Top 1% EPD for SL. Since Running Late had gone back to Colorado she decided to breed her to our own Matrix Magic who also has black in his pedigree. We are trying to achieve fineness with a tighter crimp here in dark color. Still sporting a pretty fine fleece for a black her exceptional staple length helped her shear one of the densest fleeces on our farm in 2017. Myst and Magic delivered what we were hoping for in a Dark Fawn very dense bright and crimpy fleeced male named Simply Outrageous. He inherited his dam's exceptionally long staple length which the judges commented on, as well as his very soft hand. Both judges said he was one to watch in his second fleece.
